안녕하세요. 제 이름은 Jonathan Hwang(황주헌)입니다. 목사로 사역을 시작하며 더 넓은 그리스도의 몸의 일원이 된 것은 제게 큰 특권이자 기쁨입니다.

저는 현재 캐나다 British Columbia 주 Surrey에 있는 Hope Community CRC를 섬기고 있습니다. 올 가을에 안수를 받고 풀타임 사역을 시작하며, 아내 문영과 두 아들(Joseph과 Timothy)도 이 여정에 함께 하고 있습니다.

저는 캐나다 BC 주에서 아버지가 목회하시던 한 한인 장로 교회에서 자랐습니다. 후에 어린이와 청소년 사역을 하다가 포항의 한 기독교 사립학교에서 교사로 일하기 위해 한국에 갔고, 그곳에서 아내와 결혼을 하고 첫 아이 조셉을 낳았습니다. 그 후, 캐나다로 돌아와 안수받은 사역자로서의 소명을 위해 리젠트 칼리지에서 학업을 계속하게 되었습니다.

아버지를 통해 CRC 교단을 소개받고, 리젠트에서 목회학석사(M.Div) 과정과 함께 EPMC 프로그램을 밟게 되었습니다.

지금 사역하는 교회는 제가 인턴십을 했던 교회이기도 합니다. 이곳에서 만난 사랑스러운 교회 식구들은 하나님께서 저희 가족에게 주신 선물입니다. 이제 저는 이곳 Hope Community CRC의 부목사 청빙을 수락하여 사역을 계속하게 되었습니다.

하나님의 인도하심에 매우 감사드리며, 앞으로도 겸손히 하나님께서 제게 가르치시는 것에 귀 기울이려고 최선을 다할 것입니다.

Hello, my name is Jonathan Hwang (황주헌).

It is such a privilege and joy to join in the wider body of Christ as I now enter into ordained ministry.

I currently serve in a local church in Surrey, BC, Canada.

The name of our church is Hope Community Church.

With my wife Munyeong and my two sons (Joseph and Timothy), we are now entering into full time ministry as I was just ordained this fall.

I grew up in my dad's church in BC Canada, mainly worshipping in Korean, in a Korean Presbyterian congregation. After having served in children's and youth ministry, I went to Korea to work as a teacher at a Christian private school in Pohang. That is where my wife and I got married and had our first child Joseph.

We moved back to Canada and I continued my studies at Regent College with the intention of answering my calling into ordained ministry.

Through my father, I was introduced to the CRCNA and made my way through the EPMC program along with my MDiv studies at Regent.

God has gifted our family with a lovely church family at our current church where I did my internship.

Now I have been extended and have accepted the call to be an associate pastor here at Hope Community Church.

I am very grateful for God's guidance throughout my life and I continue to make every effort to be humble and attentive to what God is teaching me.
