[교단가입] 이요한 목사님을 소개합니다!

안녕하세요, 저는 이요한이라고 합니다. 저는 한국인 부모님 아래에서 태어났지만, 브라질에서 성장하며 신학을 공부하였습니다. 브라질에서 M.Div. 과정을 마친 후, 미국 그랜드래피즈로 이주하여 칼빈신학교에서 2023년에 신약학 석사 학위를 받았습니다.

이후 EPMC(목회 후보자 프로그램)을 이수하고, 2024년 11월 목사 안수를 받았습니다. 현재 그랜드래피즈에 위치한 Living Water CRC에서 목회자로 섬기고 있습니다.

저는 아내 조아나 사모와 결혼한 지 9년 되었고, 하나님께서 저희에게 앨리스(8)와 이사벨라(8), 아벨(1)을 선물로 주셨습니다.

사실, 저의 북미주 개혁교회(CRC)에서의 여정은 칼빈신학교에 발을 들이기 전부터 시작되었다고 믿습니다. 하나님께서 제 마음에 그곳에서 공부하고 싶은 열망을 심어주셨고, 해외에서 공부했던 친구들과 가족들도 이 길이 많은 열매를 맺을 것이라며 격려해 주었습니다.

많은 기도와 하나님의 인도하심을 구한 후, 저는 칼빈 신학교에 지원했고, 합격하여 2021년 8월 그랜드래피즈에 도착했습니다.

아내 조아나와 저는 이곳에 발을 내딛는 순간부터 하나님께서 우리의 발걸음을 인도하고 계신다는 확신을 가졌습니다. 이곳에서 우리의 신앙과 삶에 깊은 영향을 준 귀한 분들을 만나게 된 것은 하나님의 큰 은혜입니다. 지금까지 베풀어 주신 모든 축복과, 우리 삶 속에 보내주신 많은 분들께 깊이 감사드립니다.

하나님의 은혜로, 저는 현재 Living Water CRC에서 섬길 수 있는 특권을 누리고 있습니다.저는 하나님께서 앞으로도 저와 제 가족을 사용하셔서 교회와 교단, 그리고 하나님의 백성들에게 축복이 되게 하시길 간절히 기도합니다.

My name is Yohan Lee. I am the son of Korean parents but was born and raised in Brazil, where I completed my M.Div. before moving to Grand Rapids to study at Calvin Theological Seminary. After earning my master’s degree in New Testament studies (2023), I completed the Ecclesiastical Program for Ministerial Candidacy (EPMC) and was ordained in November 2024. I currently serve as a pastor at Living Water Christian Reformed Church in Grand Rapids.

I have been married to Joana Lee for nine years, and we are blessed with three children: Alice (8), Isabela (8), and Abel (1).

I believe my journey in the Christian Reformed Church began long before I ever set foot at Calvin Seminary—when God planted the desire to study there in my heart. Friends who had studied abroad and my family encouraged me, believing this path would bear much fruit.

After much prayer and seeking God’s direction, I applied to Calvin Seminary, was accepted, and arrived in Grand Rapids in August 2021.

From the moment we arrived, Joana and I have been certain that God has guided our steps. He has connected us with incredible people who have been instrumental in our journey. We are deeply grateful for all the blessings we have received and for the many people God has placed in our lives along the way.

By God’s grace, I have the privilege of serving at Living Water CRC, and I pray that He will continue to use my family and me to be a blessing to our church, our denomination, and His people.
